In brief

What is special about the LoggyStore system?

The LoggyStore system is a mobile tyre racking system made up of fully mobile single units rather than fixed high racking. Each unit holds up to 24 wheels, has its own chassis, stays mobile even when fully loaded and can be moved wherever there is space – for car dealerships, workshops and tyre dealers.

The starting point

Storing customers' wheels – until now there were only 3 options:

Really expensive

Your own warehouse

Land, planning permission, wind load report, insulation, ventilation, frost protection, forklift racking – and the forklift itself. Seven hurdles before the first wheel goes in.

Really reliable?

The external wheel hotel

No immediate access, sets of wheels that arrive late, possible damage or loss. And someone else earns the extra revenue.

The torture chamber

The sea container

Heat in summer, frost in winter, condensation in between – and all of it on customers' property.

Yet there is a fourth way. There is vacant commercial space near you – perhaps even on your own premises. With the LoggyStore system, it becomes your own mobile tyre racking system: planned, delivered, ready to go.
The solution

“The storage system adapts to the room – no more rigid solutions!”

Instead of forcing wheels into fixed high racking, the LoggyStore system adapts to your room: every single unit stays mobile, slides together and goes wherever you have space.

A fully loaded rack, one person, one push. Understood in 60 seconds.

Why businesses are switching

Four reasons to choose the LoggyStore system

What convinces car dealerships, workshops and tyre dealers in practice – beyond the extra space alone.

No expensive new warehouse

Ready from 3 m ceiling height – turn vacant commercial space into your new mobile tyre racking system. Rented space works too.

Always mobile

Rearranging, redesigning or relocating? Just roll the units – no emptying, dismantling and rebuilding all your racking.

Safe in a fire

Even 1,000 wheels can be evacuated in minutes – a point in your favour with your fire insurer.

Secure income

Storage fee, additional services and two workshop visits per customer per year.

Frequently asked questions

LoggyStore mobile tyre racking system: answers at a glance

What is a fully mobile tyre racking system?

It consists of fully mobile single rack units rather than fixed high racking. In the LoggyStore system, each unit holds up to 24 tyres or wheels (6 sets of wheels, up to 22 inches) and can be moved even when fully loaded. So the units can be pushed tightly together, with aisles opened only where wheels are being retrieved or loaded.

Racks on castors? They already exist

Not with this quality and durability – the secret lies in the special castors. All of them are polyurethane swivel castors, so a LoggyStore unit turns on the spot. And even loaded with 24 wheels, it moves off with low breakaway torque and very little effort. Just try that with anything else …

How many sets of wheels fit into my space?

As a guide, around two sets of wheels per square metre. Examples from real projects: 774 sets of wheels on 340 m², 636 on approx. 292 m², 320 in a 16.5 × 9 m side room. We will gladly work out the exact capacity of your space from your floor plan.

What ceiling height do I need?

With the three-tier LoggyStore, a ceiling height of 3 metres is enough. In lower rooms such as basements, the system runs on two tiers – the top tier is detachable.

Do I need a forklift or planning permission for a new warehouse?

No. All wheels are accessible at ground level, at grip height – no industrial trucks needed. And because the system fits into existing commercial space, there is no warehouse to build, no wind load report and no permit procedure.

How much does the LoggyStore system cost?

A single unit (three tiers) costs from €790 net, the Starter Set with 10 units for 60 sets of wheels from €7,495 net, both excl. VAT and shipping. At a storage fee of €9.95 per set of wheels per month, a fully occupied Starter Set pays for itself in about 13 months.

Does a fully mobile tyre racking system have an advantage in fire protection?

Yes. Fixed high racking is practically impossible to clear in a fire. With the LoggyStore system, two people can evacuate around 1,000 wheels, racking included, in approx. 23 minutes – reducing the fire load even once a fire has started. That is impossible with fixed racking. Raise this with your fire insurer too.

Which is better: a new warehouse, a container, an external wheel hotel or your own mobile tyre racking system?

An external wheel hotel costs you access, time and margin. A sea container exposes customers' wheels and your staff to heat, frost and condensation, and is cramped and impractical. Your own fully mobile tyre racking system in existing space gives you immediate access, full control and the storage revenue for yourself.

Where is the LoggyStore system manufactured?

Handcrafted in Bavaria from top-grade steel – square and round tubing (45 mm, 2 mm wall thickness) – blasted and then fully powder-coated in green, silver or matt anthracite, or in your corporate colour on request.

Key features

Thought through to the last detail

Six design features that make the difference in everyday workshop life at car dealerships and tyre dealers.

Heavy-duty chassis

4 polyurethane swivel castors on low-friction ball bearings, 2 with dual-stop brakes – low breakaway torque, so even a fully loaded unit rolls smoothly and easily.

Compactable

Push units together and gain space: your mobile tyre racking system becomes a compactable tyre store – wide aisles only when you need them.

Detachable top tier

For low rooms; the detachable top tiers can be plugged together into a separate rim rack.

Labelling

Two large magnetic sheet-steel surfaces, ideal for labelling – every storage position clearly assigned.

Quick assembly

Partly pre-assembled, instructions included – final assembly in approx. 15 minutes.

Compatible

Also works as a fully mobile addition to existing high racking systems.

Grows with you – and stays ready to go

Your mobile tyre racking system grows with you

10 units today, 50 tomorrow – the system adapts to your needs, not the other way round. Each unit holds 24 wheels, i.e. six sets of wheels.

10 units60 sets of wheels · 240 wheels
30 units180 sets of wheels · 720 wheels
50 units300 sets of wheels · 1,200 wheels

Modular and expandable. Extra single units slot seamlessly into the existing system – same production, same dimensions.

Fully customisable. You choose the aisle widths, arrangement and number of tiers – to suit any room.

Seasonally flexible. Wide aisles in the changeover season, fully compacted the rest of the year – no conversion work needed.

Reconfigure at any time. Even fully loaded, the system stays mobile and can be rearranged.

Quick to retrofit

New units are available at short notice – no long wait until the next season.

Unchanged dimensions

The same design for years, built in our own facility in Bavaria. No model changes that leave your storage incompatible.

Relocatable

If you change location, the storage moves with you. Your investment is protected, even if your space changes.

Narrow aisles, low rooms

Low ceilings? No problem.

And if you have less than 3 metres of ceiling height – in a basement or a low side room, for example? Then the two-tier LoggyStore is exactly the right solution. In tight, low rooms in particular, it brings a whole new level of mobility – and makes perfect use of the space.

With LoggyStore, you make use of every last centimetre. The detachable top tiers also slot together into a separate multi-tier rack – ideal for storing rims on their own.

  • Two tiers instead of three – ideal for basements and low side rooms
  • Detachable top tier, stackable into a separate rim rack
  • Fully usable even below 3 m – 16 tyres per unit

A real-world example from daily work

How long does it take to prepare 30 sets of wheels?

An everyday task the day before the wheel changeover. We compare a high-racking store with a walk-on first floor and a lift for a maximum of 2 sets of wheels against the LoggyStore system, where all sets of wheels stand on a single level at ground level.

45 minutes faster
Every day you have 30 sets of wheels to handle. Over a changeover season with 30 such days, that adds up to around 22 working hours.
Aisle width

And what if wheels keep getting bigger?

This problem will catch up with fixed racking in the coming years. It is why many businesses can no longer make full use of their high racking today.

Narrow aisle between high racking in a conventional tyre store
Fixed high racking: an aisle yields no more than it has.

Wheel diameters have grown massively in recent years – not least due to the heavy wheels of electric vehicles. In fixed racking, the usable aisles keep getting narrower, and in some cases even retrieval from one side is barely possible.

Guided industrial trucks make things even tighter: large, heavy wheels end up above head height – defying all logic – so that the forklift does not snag on protruding wheels.

  • Flexible aisle width – wide in the changeover season, compact the rest of the year.
  • No forklift in the aisle – the racking rolls to the employee, not the other way round.
  • Heavy wheels stay low – all three tiers reachable from the ground.
“A fixed rack gets tighter with every model year. Fully mobile LoggyStore storage grows with you.”
Take back control

External wheel hotel vs. your own mobile tyre racking system

Many workshops store customers' wheels externally. It sounds convenient, but it often costs exactly what you wanted to save: stress, space and money – for a service that seems to get worse and worse.

External wheel hotel

  • No immediate access, sets of wheels often late
  • Uncollected sets pile up
  • Damage or total loss possible
  • No additional revenue for you

Your own LoggyStore mobile tyre racking system

Wheels in a sea container
Cramped container
Tyres in a container? Not a good idea.

Heat, frost and condensation – on customers' property

A sea container is quick to set up and looks cheap. For the stored wheels and your staff, it is a different story.

Heat in summer

Uninsulated steel heats up far above the outside temperature.

Frost in winter

Often well below freezing without insulation.

No ventilation

Warmth and moisture stay in the room.

Condensation

Moisture condenses on walls and rims.

Wheels belong in dry, cool, ventilated storage – in existing commercial space, not in a container.

Moving premises?

Your storage simply moves

Repairs · renovation · water damage · storage too small · landlord with other plans

With fixed racking, the worst case means: all wheels out, all racking dismantled and rebuilt elsewhere, every wheel back in. An enormous effort in time and money – your money.

The LoggyStore system, by contrast, stays mobile – even when fully loaded. Simply roll it out of the store and back in elsewhere. No days of emptying, dismantling, reassembling and refilling: the LoggyStore system simply moves.

Safety

Fire protection and occupational safety

Evacuate instead of a controlled burn – at ground level, not at dizzying heights.

Fire protection

A mobile tyre racking system you can evacuate.

Fixed racking cannot be evacuated in a fire. Fire services consider extinguishing a tyre store hopeless – what remains is a “controlled burn”, and with it a loss of customers' property that often runs into millions.

Tyres are among the highest fire loads any business stores. If you can show assessors and insurers that your storage can be cleared in an emergency – or at least split up by fire breaks – you negotiate from a very different position.

23

Minutes – that is all two people need for around 1,000 wheels, shelving included, no tools, through a standard warehouse door.

Raise this with your fire insurer. It is an argument that carries weight there.

23 minutes for 1,000 wheels – with two people

Occupational safety

Work at ground level, with a straight back.

High racking means working at height: stairs, platforms, ladders – and industrial trucks in the same aisle as your staff. With the LoggyStore system, everything happens at floor level – the racking comes to the employee, not the other way round.

  • No work at height. All three tiers are at grip height: no climbing stairs, no risk of falling.
  • Easy on the back. Wheels are picked up directly at the racking instead of being lifted from the floor.
  • No industrial trucks in the work area. No forklifts driving between the racking while staff are working there.
  • Flexible aisle widths. You decide how much space to leave between the rows – and can change it at any time.
A topic your statutory accident insurer and works council will also care about.

Frequently asked questions

Fire protection & occupational safety: answers at a glance

How quickly can the LoggyStore mobile tyre racking system be evacuated in a fire?

Two people can clear around 1,000 wheels including the racking units in approx. 23 minutes – no tools needed, through a standard warehouse door.

Why does a fully mobile tyre racking system have the edge over fixed racking in fire protection?

Fixed high racking is virtually impossible to evacuate in a fire; according to fire services, all that usually remains is a “controlled burn”. Because LoggyStore units are mobile, they can be cleared in an emergency or split up by fire breaks – an argument that counts with assessors and insurers.

How does a fully mobile tyre racking system affect occupational safety?

All three tiers are at grip height – no climbing stairs, no risk of falling. Wheels are picked up directly at the racking rather than lifted from the floor, and there are no industrial trucks in the work area: the racking comes to the employee, not the other way round.

What happens to the mobile tyre racking system if you move or refurbish?

The LoggyStore system stays mobile even when fully loaded: simply roll it out of the store and back in elsewhere – no need to unload the wheels first.

Can I freely choose the aisle widths between the rows of racking?

Yes. You decide how much space to leave between the rows and can change the aisle width at any time.

Who else should I inform about the safety benefits?

Evacuation time and ground-level working also matter to your fire insurer, your statutory accident insurer and your works council – make a point of raising these advantages with them.

Step 4

Old wheels onto the trolley

The removed wheels go onto the same trolley. The magnetic label is turned from “Retrieve” to “Store”.

And back the same way.
The tyre trolley rolls into the mobile tyre racking system, the wheels go back into the LoggyStore system and the set of wheels returns to its numbered position. No wheel is handled twice, no set of wheels goes missing.
Frequently asked questions

Loggyflex RT 255 tyre trolley: answers at a glance

What is a tyre trolley like the Loggyflex RT 255?

A tyre trolley is a wheeled trolley for mobile wheel preparation and tyre transport. The Loggyflex RT 255 by unyco holds 8 tyres of width 255 or 10 tyres of width 195, has a total load capacity of 500 kg (260 kg payload) and goes straight to the vehicle without additional equipment.

How many sets of wheels does a Loggyflex RT tyre trolley move?

A single tyre trolley holds two prepared sets of wheels. Up to 10 Loggyflex RT trolleys can be coupled together, so you move 20 sets of wheels in one go – and keep 20 prepared sets ready in the workshop on just 8 m².

Can several Loggyflex RT tyre trolleys be coupled?

Yes. With the coupling and drawbar kit, you can link up to 10 Loggyflex RT tyre trolleys into a tow train and move them all at once, e.g. with a small vehicle or forklift.

Is the Loggyflex RT tyre trolley forklift-compatible?

Yes. The tyre trolley has forklift pockets, so it can also be moved in three dimensions in multi-storey storage.

How is the tyre trolley secured when parked?

The Loggyflex RT has two independent braking systems, so the trolley can be locked securely in place – even fully loaded, on ramps and during loading. It is also forklift-compatible and can be lifted via its pockets.

Can I use the tyre trolley outside the tyre season too?

Yes. Outside the changeover season, convert the Loggyflex RT tyre trolley back into a Loggyflex Standard trolley and use it for parts preparation or moving bulky goods, for example.

Frequently asked questions

Planning a mobile tyre racking system: answers at a glance

How does planning a mobile tyre racking system with unyco work?

In three steps: you send us your floor plan, we send back a digital layout proposal with routing, aisle widths and rack configuration, and then the mobile tyre racking system is delivered and installed on request.

How many sets of wheels fit into my space?

As a rule of thumb, around two sets of wheels per square metre at a ceiling height of 3 metres. Examples from completed projects: 774 sets of wheels on 340 m², 636 on approx. 292 m², 654 across a basement with four areas and 320 in a 16.5 × 9 m side room. A digital layout proposal tells you the exact capacity of your space.

What does the planning include besides the racking itself?

Alongside the space analysis and rack configuration, you receive suitable terms and conditions for mobile tyre racking systems, proven processes for storage and retrieval, and costing advice – so your mobile tyre racking system pays off.

Why are fixed racking systems at a disadvantage in space planning?

A fixed rack stays where it was built. LoggyStore units, by contrast, can be placed freely, so the layout proposal can try out different arrangements – lengthways, crossways, double rows, different aisle widths – until the storage capacity of the space is used to the full.

Can smaller or unusually shaped rooms be planned too?

Yes. The examples range from a large 340 m² first floor to a narrow 16.5 × 9 m side room and a basement spread over several rooms – the units adapt to existing columns, doors and room shapes.

Who supports me during planning?

Arne Büchner, owner of unyco, supports you personally from the first idea to the fully stocked store. Since 2004, unyco has developed, manufactured and advised from a single source in Geisenhausen – with no intermediaries.

What can you do when your tyre store is urgently short of space?

As wheels keep getting larger and heavier – not least because of electric vehicles – conventional high racking is reaching its limits. Aisles get narrower, some wheels can only be retrieved from one side, and lack of space often forces industrial trucks to store wheels impractically high overhead. The LoggyStore system eliminates this problem: the fully mobile units slide together flexibly, so you regain the full storage capacity of your existing space – and every wheel stays at grip height, with no overhead storage and no industrial trucks in the work area.

Do I need planning permission for this storage system, as I would for a tyre warehouse?

No, provided you use an existing space – such as vacant commercial premises, a workshop side room or a basement with a ceiling height of at least 3 metres. Since this is flexible business equipment in an existing room rather than a new building, there is no need for the planning permission procedure required to build your own tyre warehouse.

How can you optimise a mobile tyre racking system instead of using an external wheel hotel?

External storage in a wheel hotel usually means no immediate access to the tyres, dependence on delivery timing and a certain loss of control. With your own fully mobile tyre racking system, you bring autonomy – and the storage revenue that used to go elsewhere – fully back into your business. We also advise you on suitable add-on services such as wheel washing, tyre gas or balancing, to strengthen seasonal customer loyalty even further.
