The LoggyStore system: you simply cannot fit more wheels per m2!*

Every room has different dimensions, columns and doors. LoggyStore units can be placed freely, so in the digital layout proposal we try out different arrangements: lengthways, crossways, in double rows, with different aisle widths – until the storage capacity of your space is used to the full. A fixed rack cannot do that: it stays where it was built.

Four examples of digital layout proposals

How many sets of wheels fit into your space?

As a rule of thumb, around two sets of wheels per m² – a digital layout proposal gives you the exact figure. Four examples from completed projects, from a large first floor to a narrow side room.

Frequently asked questions

Planning a mobile tyre racking system: answers at a glance

How does planning a mobile tyre racking system with unyco work?

In three steps: you send us your floor plan, we send back a digital layout proposal with routing, aisle widths and rack configuration, and then the mobile tyre racking system is delivered and installed on request.

How many sets of wheels fit into my space?

As a rule of thumb, around two sets of wheels per square metre at a ceiling height of 3 metres. Examples from completed projects: 774 sets of wheels on 340 m², 636 on approx. 292 m², 654 across a basement with four areas and 320 in a 16.5 × 9 m side room. A digital layout proposal tells you the exact capacity of your space.

What does the planning include besides the racking itself?

Alongside the space analysis and rack configuration, you receive suitable terms and conditions for mobile tyre racking systems, proven processes for storage and retrieval, and costing advice – so your mobile tyre racking system pays off.

Why are fixed racking systems at a disadvantage in space planning?

A fixed rack stays where it was built. LoggyStore units, by contrast, can be placed freely, so the layout proposal can try out different arrangements – lengthways, crossways, double rows, different aisle widths – until the storage capacity of the space is used to the full.

Can smaller or unusually shaped rooms be planned too?

Yes. The examples range from a large 340 m² first floor to a narrow 16.5 × 9 m side room and a basement spread over several rooms – the units adapt to existing columns, doors and room shapes.

Who supports me during planning?

Arne Büchner, owner of unyco, supports you personally from the first idea to the fully stocked store. Since 2004, unyco has developed, manufactured and advised from a single source in Geisenhausen – with no intermediaries.

What can you do when your tyre store is urgently short of space?

As wheels keep getting larger and heavier – not least because of electric vehicles – conventional high racking is reaching its limits. Aisles get narrower, some wheels can only be retrieved from one side, and lack of space often forces industrial trucks to store wheels impractically high overhead. The LoggyStore system eliminates this problem: the fully mobile units slide together flexibly, so you regain the full storage capacity of your existing space – and every wheel stays at grip height, with no overhead storage and no industrial trucks in the work area.

Do I need planning permission for this storage system, as I would for a tyre warehouse?

No, provided you use an existing space – such as vacant commercial premises, a workshop side room or a basement with a ceiling height of at least 3 metres. Since this is flexible business equipment in an existing room rather than a new building, there is no need for the planning permission procedure required to build your own tyre warehouse.

How can you optimise a mobile tyre racking system instead of using an external wheel hotel?

External storage in a wheel hotel usually means no immediate access to the tyres, dependence on delivery timing and a certain loss of control. With your own fully mobile tyre racking system, you bring autonomy – and the storage revenue that used to go elsewhere – fully back into your business. We also advise you on suitable add-on services such as wheel washing, tyre gas or balancing, to strengthen seasonal customer loyalty even further.
